Sit, stay, search! 🐶 Aspen Snowmass’ patrol pups learn from a young age how to be on snow, around chairlifts and skiers, and ultimately how to search for individuals buried under the snow in an avalanche emergency. This is done by keeping the training focused on fun, nurturing their natural curiosity and love of digging, and rewarding them with their favorite toys (like their patrol handler’s glove) as well as lots of positive feedback.
