Now 16 years old, it’s been almost three years since Maximo Carrizo, an FCW alumni, signed an MLS Homegrown contract with NYCFC. Maximo remains one of the top prospects in the country, recently earning call-ups to represent the USA U17s, while also receiving invitations to camps with Argentina’s U17s. Although he’s been listed in NYCFC’s first team, matchday squad for MLS games, Maximo is still waiting for his full MLS debut—which we expect to come this year.
