Today, the HPU family has honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by volunteering more than 2,000 hours of service through more than a dozen service projects on campus, around the city of High Point and beyond! At a glance, students, faculty and staff spent their “day on, not a day off” packing packets of vegetable seeds, taking part in beautification efforts at a local schools and community centers, as well as packing meals for Rise Against Hunger. HPU is donating $250,000 to Business High Point to support local minority entrepreneurs and develop the Washington Street Historic District in the city of High Point.
