In collaboration with the marlins, we invited over 90 amazing 𤩠students to join an educational Classroom on the Sand by cleanmiamibeach š¬ and bluescholarsinitiative š©µ
Students learned the dangers in š„ plastic, how our wildlife is accidentally consuming it, and how we can avoid it in our everyday lives. š”šš
The students removed over 44 pounds šŖ of ocean debris (mostly plastic) from the shore, joined an art activation by creating plastic fish, played several games that are hand made out of microplastics and up-cycled materials.š§āāļø
bluescholarsinitiative exhibit taught all about the watershed and how all the different pollutions we humans create on land eventually flows into the ocean...
These students committed to do more for our planet by reducing their use of single use plastics, taking care of their community (with their newly acquired PFTP buckets and trash pickers) and most importantly with their spirit and passion to spread the word!!!
