Axel Angelow set a Minnesota state record with a 3-pound, 13-ounce black crappie caught on Cedar Lake.⁠ ⁠ Axel’s fish broke the previous state record, set in May 2024 by Nolan Sprengeler. Sprengeler, who also holds the Minnesota muskie record, actually broke the Minnesota black crappie record twice last year.
