Gluten can be more than just an ingredient. When consumed in high amounts or if an individual is sensitive to it, gluten can disrupt gut health and slow down recovery. The gut lining functions like a protective wall, but excessive gluten can weaken it, allowing toxins and bacteria to pass through. This can lead to inflammation and impact overall performance. Pro Athletes know the risks, which is why many avoid gluten-heavy processed foods, especially those sprayed with pesticides.
