Your gut influences your brain, reduces anxiety, and helps manage stress, allowing better performance under pressure. It supports your immune system, with a diverse microbiome linked to fewer respiratory infections during peak training. It also optimizes muscle function and recovery through improved nutrient absorption. Avoid processed foods high in sugar and sweeteners, limit alcohol, hydrate with electrolytes, prioritize sleep and mindfulness, use antibiotics only when necessary, and feed beneficial bacteria with probiotics and prebiotics. My favorite probiotics are Visibiome, Culturelle, and Thorne Sacro-B.
