TROJANS 55, FRESHMAN KNIGHTS 23: Graham Thompson scored eight points and Vance Reining five as the host Knights battled visiting Anderson toe to toe for a half before the Trojans pulled away in the second half for a comfortable win on New Year’s Eve. The Knights trailed by only a bucket at the end of one quarter and by six at halftime but the Trojans outscored the Knights 12-3 in the decisive third quarter and 21-4 in the final stanza. The freshman get another crack at the Trojans on Friday when they make the short trip north to battle their district rivals for the second time this season.
