WAR (AGAINST THE) EAGLE(S): Junior Josh Zuniga scored 18 points and sophomore Miller Stephens added 16 as the Knights clipped the Cedar Creek Eagles 67-47 for a road district win on Jan. 3. The Knights put the game away early scoring 16 points in both the first and second quarters while holding their hosts to 17 points for the entire half. After the Eagles mounted a third quarter comeback that shaved the Knights’ lead from 15 points to only seven at the end of three quarters, the Knights put together their most prolific quarter of the game, posting 25 points in the fourth to win the game by 20. Sophomore Victor Saenz scored eight points for the victorious Knights; sophomore Joe Alvarez, seven; and sophomore Cole Truong, six. The Knights eye a rematch with Anderson on the road this Friday.
