65-year-old Roussel was shopping with his son at northlandshopping Centre last month, when he suffered a cardiac arrest, collapsing to the ground suddenly.⁣ ⁣ As quick-thinking bystanders raised the alarm, First Constables Daphne Turney and Megan Neill happened to be on foot patrol just a few metres away.⁣ ⁣ First Constable Turney and an off-duty nurse immediately commenced CPR, with Securecorp security officers later stepping in before a defibrillator delivered three lifesaving shocks.⁣ ⁣ firerescuevictoria and ambulancevic crews arrived soon after, taking over the man's care.
