In 2005, Patrick and Robyn Woodhead established White Desert with a shared dream to take clients into the forbidding interior of Antarctica - a place traditionally reserved for select scientists and explorers. At the time, all they had were 3 small mountain tents and a lot of ambition. Fast forward 20 years and White Desert has established one of the largest infrastructures in Antarctica; utilising 5 aircraft, 3 camps and over 130 staff. The team support research scientists from 8 separate nations and bring exclusive groups of tourists into the continent in what has become a multi-award winning business.
