#LagunaFire Updated 1/23/2025 11:50am Due to improving conditions and progress in fire suppression, the Evacuation Order has been downgraded to an EVACUATION WARNING for California State University Channel Islands and the residential area University Glen. The campus has been reopened, but again, classes have been canceled for today and no employees are expected to return to work except for designated employees contacted by their supervisor. Potrero Road and the Oxnard Street entrance to campus remain closed, but Lewis Road is open as are University Drive and Camarillo Street. Classes will resume tomorrow, Jan. 24th unless conditions change. ————- 8:51 am Ventura County Fire crews are working to contain a small brush fire near Laguna Road and Hueneme Road near California State University Channel Islands.
