12 years in the NFL taught me one thing: training hard isn’t enough, you need to train smart ⬇️ Listen up and make sure you’re not falling into these traps: 1️⃣ Ignoring weaknesses leads to imbalances and injuries. Assess your movement, then attack your weak points. 2️⃣ Overemphasizing strength makes you a “weight room warrior” who can’t move on the field. Add sport-specific drills, plyos, and sprints. 3️⃣ Skipping movement prep is asking for trouble. Warm up right—dynamic movement and mobility first. 4️⃣ Poor nutrition = poor performance.
