Today, Jan. 23, is our annual NASA Day of Remembrance. On this day, we commemorate and honor all NASA employees, including the crews of Apollo 1, Challenger STS-51L, and Columbia STS-107, who lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery for the benefit of all. Each year, we celebrate their bravery, their lives, and the advancements made in human spaceflight. Safety is one of our core values: We’re committed to a strong, data-driven safety culture and climate. As we explore low Earth orbit and prepare for missions to the Moon and Mars, it is vital that we always remember and implement the lessons of our past in our preparations for the future.
