🏆 Wilberforce University is set to host the inaugural Isla HBCU Classic, a three-day celebration of athletic excellence and HBCU culture, from February 14-16, 2025. The event, organized by the Isla Foundation in partnership with Brown Girls Do Gymnastics and Wilberforce University’s Women’s Gymnastics booster club, aims to highlight diversity and inclusion within gymnastics and cheerleading. The Isla HBCU Classic will feature a range of events, including a Divine 9 Step Show and Cheerleading and Dance Exhibition on February 14, a Resource Fair and Alumni Brunch on February 15, and the Isla Invitational and Collegiate Gymnastics Competition on February 16. The competition will bring together Fisk University, Wilberforce University, and Greenville University, with club-level gymnasts traveling from Atlanta and Detroit to participate.
