Meet Mei Huang! She has been working at Stuart Dining as a Food Service Worker with BC Dining for 4 years. Mei’s daily duties include: setting up the salad and yogurt bar, working the deli station, preparing smoothies, and cutting up fresh fruits and vegetables. When asked about her time spent with BC Dining, Mei said it feels like her “second home.” She has been able to improve her English conversational skills, which has made her feel more comfortable and confident. Mei shared that “everyone works together,” and “time goes by fast working here.” When asked about her favorite foods, Mei talked about how her family emigrated from China and how they celebrate Chinese New Year by making Nian Gao, a sticky cake made out of rice flour.
