πŸ† The James Beard Foundation announced the semifinalists today for its annual Restaurant and Chef Awards. Cordelia's Vinnie Cimino and Larder Delicatessen and Bakery's Jeremy Umansky were selected in the Best Chef: Great Lakes Region. Douglas Katz of Amba, Zhug and Kiln was recognized in the Outstanding Restauranteur category. Larder's Allie La Valle was named in the Outstanding Bakery category. The award, in its 35th year, is considered one of the most prestigious honors in food. Last year, Cimino was the first semifinalist in more than a decade. Meanwhile, Larder has been honored in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. "JUST WOW!!" Cordelia wrote on its Instagram.
