Hans Zimmer was recently asked to help rearrange Saudi Arabia's national anthem. The Oscar-winning composer has created scores for films including 'Interstellar,' 'Dune,' 'The Lion King,' 'The Dark Knight, and countless others.
“We agreed on the broad outlines of all these projects and I hope we will reach a final agreement on them,” says Turki Alalshikh, a Saudi Arabian adviser. Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the country’s General Entertainment Authority, has been spearheading the conversations about the anthem and other projects with Zimmer.
The Saudi Arabian anthem was first written by the Egyptian composer Abdul Rahman Al-Khateeb in 1947.
Hans Zimmer will also be performing in Saudi Arabia for the first time ever this evening.
