In 2009, the remarkable filly Rachel Alexandra made history in many ways, but most notably when she became the first 3-year-old filly to ever be crowned Horse of the Year. It was in her 3-year-old season that she was a perfect 8-for-8, highlighted by five Grade Is that included victories in the GI Kentucky Oaks, GI Preakness Stakes, GI Mother Goose Stakes, GI Haskell and GI Woodward. Now, a new filly has joined the list as THORPEDO ANNA was recently crowned the 2024 Horse of the Year. She is the second 3-year-old filly in history to receive that honor.
