TROJANS 64, JV KNIGHTS 47: Miller Stephens scored 22 points to lead the visiting Knights at Anderson on New Year’s Eve, but it wasn’t enough as the host Trojans relied on a decisive third quarter to turn a close Taco Shack rivalry game into a 17-point win in District 24-5A play. After the Trojans built a four-point advantage in a low scoring first quarter, the Knights outscored the Trojans 11-9 in the second quarter to cut the Trojan lead to two points at halftime, but by the end of the third, the Anderson lead had mushroomed to double digits. The fourth quarter was close, the Trojans advantage held. Seamus Dillon and Amsden Withers both scored eight points for the Knights in the game. The two teams have a rematch tonight at Anderson as part of a Taco Shack 2.0 tripleheader at Anderson.
