Congratulations to soprano Elizabeth Hanje '24 on being named a finalist in the Houston Grand Opera Eleanor McCollum Competition. Hanje is one of the participants chosen out of nearly 1,000 applicants. She will sing two operatic selections in the Concert of Arias, which will be live-streamed tonight, Friday, February 2 at 7:30 PM. The winner of the competition will receive a place in the Sarah and Ernest Butler Houston Grand Opera Studio. Hanje is a student of Oberlin voice professor Salvatore Champagne ’85.
