Lights, camera, Obies! Between January 11-13, eight fellows gathered on campus for the second Oberlin Screenwriters Intensive (OSI), a writers’ conference dedicated to helping aspiring TV and movie writers hone their storytelling.
Across three packed days, these fellows participated in small-group working sessions with six mentors—including OSI co-founders Michele Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney, as well as Julian Breece, Allison Schroeder, Aïda Mashaka Croal, and David Slack—an industry panel, and intensive sessions on topics like pitching and rewriting. The weekend also included a screening of 2023’s Rustin featuring a Q&A with Julian Breece, who wrote the movie’s screenplay.
