This Black History Month, Oberlin proudly retraces the steps of several notable Black Obies. Our college has opened its classrooms to students of all races and backgrounds since 1835. In fact, by the year 1900, Oberlin’s foresight helped grow the number of Black graduates from northern white colleges by a third.
