Outside of Ben Franklin book store in downtown Oberlin, Oberlin students involved with @writersinresidence held an evening of poetry and jazz on October 27. Fall-themed food and beverages, live jazz music, and readings from the forthcoming Oberlin Fall 2023 chapbook were all featured at the event. Writers in Residence provides creative writing instruction to young people incarcerated in Ohio with the aim of empowering their voices and supporting their transition back into society.
