Oberlin Opera Theater's production of Albert Herring begins today! Benjamin Britten’s acclaimed chamber opera Albert Herring will be presented in four performances, November 2 through 5, in Hall Auditorium. What to do when all the young girls in town are of unsuitable character to be the May Queen? Well, how about Albert? Albert Herring is the shy, innocent boy who, frustrated with small-town conventions, breaks free from the expectations of society and discovers his confidence, independence, and self-worth.
