This UFO-shaped lenticular cloud was captured by Ash Ranee Brittenham in their backyard in The Dalles.
Brittenham said “I’ve seen some pretty amazing things out there and they have never quite looked like this.”
Lenticular clouds form over mountain ranges and valleys and they're more common in the autumn and winter.
They're not just unique in their look, but also in their behavior; they don't move with the wind like other clouds. They can reform in the same place over a mountain over and over, so it can seem like they stay in one place for hours.
