🧬🌍 Our space stem cells are back home! 🇵🇷
🚀After an epic journey aboard SpaceX-31 and the International Space Station, the Rhodium StemCell 01 mission samples have safely landed in Puerto Rico. Now, the real work begins:
🔬 What’s next?
Dr. Maribella Domenech’s lab at UPR Mayagüez will:
• Check for any damage from the trip.
• Study how microgravity affected their survival and growth.
• Test anti-inflammatory properties for health benefits in space and on Earth.
✨Why it matters:
• Findings could enhance astronaut health and improve treatments for autoimmune conditions!
• When results are published, you can access them on our Beacon Puerto Rican Research Platform.
