#SUMMERSPOTLIGHT 💎☀️ Next in our summer spotlight series is rising junior Emily Gillett (AC ‘21). Emily has been planning an inclusive camp experience for individuals with and without Down syndrome as the North Carolina Program Lead at PALS Programs since February, and recently got to execute the summer camp for around 35 participants! In her role as Program Lead, Emily developed a schedule (i.e. planned all meals, off campus trips, and daily activities), created and managed a budget, and secured value-in-kind donations from community partners. She also returned to PALS San Fransisco last week to volunteer as a peer roommate for an individual with Down syndrome at the camp where she first fell in love with PALS!
