The Kansas City Council has set a new goal this year to make KC the greenest in the country, according to FOX 4. This will be done with a recently founded campaign called Canopy Cover KC, which will plant 10,000 trees by Summer 2026, in the KC area. The program has already planted 5.500 trees to improve air quality These pre-grown trees are given to KC residents by the program for free.
