A study on the advantages of combining solar energy production with sheep grazing reveals that sheep grazing in the shade of photovoltaic (PV) panels may yield higher-quality wool compared to traditional farming methods. Testing confirmed that wool produced by solar-grazing sheep meets high-quality standards. Sheep have proven to be excellent solar grazing partners, outperforming other livestock. Unlike goats, they don’t chew on wires or climb onto solar panels, and their smaller size compared to cattle and horses minimizes the risk of damage to racking systems and equipment.
