BETTER TOGETHER: The freshman boys basketball team clipped the Cedar Creek Eagles tonight at home, 45-18. Kevin Gallas was the leading scorer for the Knights, scoring 13 points. Ben Cowles, Graham Thompson and Vance Reinig each contributed six points for the victorious Knights. Tobias Jackson-Woods had five. For Jackson-Woods, the game went well and he believes the teamwork clicked. “We ran our plays like we were supposed to, and we played good defense as a team,” Jackson-Woods said. Though they pulled off the win, Jackson-Woods the team could still make improvements to their game. “We need to work on boxing out and getting more rebounds,” Jackson-Woods said. The freshman Knights take on Bastrop on the road next Tuesday at 5:15. Caption by Sienna Martens.
