JV KNIGHTS 64, EAGLES 38: The JV boys basketball team defeated the Cedar Creek Eagles 64-38 tonight at home. Sophomores Miller Stephens and Amsden Withers led the Knights in scoring this evening, with 29 points and 12 points respectively. After a close first half, the Knights were down 17-15. In the second half, the Knights seized the momentum. Sophomores Ben Cook, Levi Satterfield and Joe Alvarez each contributed three points each for the Knights. For Alvarez, the game showed what the team can improve on. “I feel like we picked it up in the second half after we came out in the first half slow,” Alvarez said. “I think as a team we need to work on being more aggressive on defense and talking.” Individually, Alvarez would like to change his game by building confidence and taking more shots. “I could work on handling pressure, especially in big games and taking more shots, because I pass the ball a lot,” Alvarez said.
