Harried holiday travelers at Portland International Airport on Wednesday were treated to a magical sight – not eight reindeer, but eight Labrador retrievers and golden retrievers, decked out in their finest Christmas sweaters and Santa coats, eagerly waiting inside the terminal for head pats and tummy rubs. The DoveLewis Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams program is in its 10th year of operation and its fifth year volunteering at PDX. Dogs make the rounds at the airport every week, but their Christmas-time service is special. Flyers might be especially stressed during the busiest travel week of the year. #pdx #therapydogs #pdxairport 📸 by editorswindler
