ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT🌊 2019 Wave Ben Casparius made his major league debut earlier this year with the @dodgers. The Westport, CT native is a @uconnbsb alum, and was taken in the fifth round, with the 162nd overall pick of the 2021 draft. Casparius becomes the first Wave in franchise HISTORY to play in the MLB Postseason. Casparius pitched a total of 8.1 innings with 12 strikeouts and a 2.16 ERA in the latter half of the 2024 regular season. With the Dodgers, he contributed to a team that won the NL West, and finished with a series win over the Padres in the NLDS, three games to two. Los Angeles now opens up the NLCS with a 9-0 win against the Mets, Casparius recording the last out of their monumental game 1 win, the largest margin of victory in the 2024 postseason thus far. If your team didn’t make the postseason this year, be sure to tune in to support @bencasparius and the @dodgers !! Way to make the Ocean State proud, Ben!🌊🩵
