#shotdeckrecreations Went with Rocky (1976) for my second submission to the @shotdeck shot recreation contest! Recreating a shot from Rocky was an obvious choice, but I wanted to go with something different than the iconic art museum steps shot (plus there’s a Ferris wheel set up at that spot right now that clutters the background). The Schuylkill River Trail shot stood out to me on the ShotDeck site and it’s a beautiful spot, so we ventured out to go find the exact site and see what we could do. The area was a lot different-looking now than it looks in the shot in Rocky (which is not surprising with the film being over 45 years old) so it required some improvisation. The trail, foliage, rocks and more were all completely changed since the film, so we did our best to frame up the figure in the same way.
