Training has taught me a lot, but one of the biggest lessons is this: you have to be someone you can count on.
I barely slept last night, my flight landed just in time to squeeze in a run before the sun went down, and every excuse was right there waiting for me. But I made a promise to myself, and I wasn’t about to let bad planning be the reason I broke it. So I showed up, got it done, and ran a half marathon. Because at the end of the day, the trust you build in yourself—the kind that says, “ I follow through, no matter what,” is everything.
