The Lancers took on the Rockhurst Hawklets in the annual rivalry game for the 27th year in a row on Friday, Jan. 31. Students began lining up outside of Rockhurst at 4 p.m. hoping to get a ticket into the game. At the end of the first quarter, the Lancers were down 13-7. Going into the second quarter the Lancers continued to trail behind the Hawklets, 30-21. After the half, the Hawklets continued to lead the game 45-38. In the end, the Lancers fell to the Hawklets 68-52. Senior Will Beck was the highest scorer for the Lancers, scoring a total of 13 points. The team’s record now sits at 6-6. The Lancers will play their next home against Gardner Edgerton on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m..
