JV-A KNIGHTS 3, COUGARS 0: The JV boys soccer team remains undefeated after a decisive win over the Crockett Cougars this morning at Burger Stadium.
Junior midfielder Evan Herrin scored two of the three goals. Herrin said the team’s work from the defensive half facilitated the scoring.
“We played really well through the midfield,” Herrin said. “It allowed us to have control of the game and get three goals out of it.”
Herrin praised his teammates for creating his opportunities to score.
“For both my goals, we got the defense played the ball to the midfield and got a great through pass from (sophomore) Marc Wehbe to get past the defense.”
Herrin believes the team’s biggest strength is also their biggest weakness.
“We need to work on our defense in the midfield,” Herrin said. “While we got through their midfield easily, Crockett also broke through ours easily.”
The Knights play next on Wednesday at 6 p.m. when they face Anderson at Nelson Field.
