This Thursday evening, The University of Texas at Austin and University Unions will begin celebrating the 45th anniversary of cactuscafeatx with the first of three weekend’s worth of shows. The series, presented in partnership with armadilloworldheadquarters, features legendary performers from the club’s storied history, features popular Austin acts that will make their Cactus debuts with rare intimate shows, and introduces talented student performers. This week’s shows feature UT Austin’s Songwriter in Residence dardensmithmusic celebrating the 30th anniversary of his celebrated 1993 album, “Little Victories,” with a special show of songs and stories, plus sold-out shows from Kevin Russell of shinyribs and DavidGarzaMusic.
