Every kid needs a team. On January 29, the team from Layup Basketball ( layup_basketball ) joined us courtside at the Metro Hoops Classis against the Univerity of Toronto Varsity Blues. Layup Basketball is a charity focused on the future of access to basketball by delivering cost-free programs to youth ages 6-29 across Toronto.
 From evidence-based basketball to 3x3 Team Play, Basketball Literacy and Youth Coach Development, every program is rooted in the culture of basketball and designed to equip youth with the skills they need to thrive both on and off the court. In its 11th year, Lay-Up is delivering 2800+ on-court hours annually, reaching 1000+ youth (53% girls) across 12 Neighbourhood Improvement Areas. With year-round coaching opportunities for 60+ youth and future-focused programs such as Crossover, Lay-Up is pioneering the future of access to basketball, on and off the court
