This was special 💙 Eamon Horwedel, Captain Growler, was inducted into the Growlers Hall of Fame in 2024. The University of Michigan right-hander pitched for the Growlers for five consecutive summers - a move that is rare in the Northwoods League. He is one of two players to play for the Growlers for five seasons (Adam Wheaton, 2018-2022). Wheaton had the honor of stepping onto the field at the Nut Smugglers game in August 2024 and placing the jacket onto Horwedel in front of a packed crowd at Homer Stryker Field. Horwedel is the third person to be inducted into the Growlers Hall of Fame joining Wheaton and ticket-taker Denise Hopkins.
