SUCCESS AGAINST THE STARS: The varsity girls basketball team defeated the Ann Richards Stars 48-30, last Friday on the road. Senior Sonya Petersen felt the team had great attack and overall thought the team played well together throughout the game. Especially in the first half, she said, the team worked together to create many open shot opportunities. “The best moment for me was at the very beginning when I won the tip off,” Petersen said. “It was exciting because I can’t say that happens very much for me in general, but especially against a 6’ 2” player.” As their season comes to an end, Petersen is proud of what her team accomplished with the new changes this year. “I feel like considering the new district and the seniors who graduated last year, making the playoffs this season was going to be a challenge, but we have done pretty well, and we pulled it off,” Petersen said. For their final game on Tuesday, the Knights will be celebrating their seniors before their 8 p.m. home game...
