Happy girls & women in sports day! 📸🤍 This day has always meant a lot to me and getting to watch the stands full of young girls at the UC women’s basketball game today reminded me so much of me watching my team from the sidelines dreaming about being them one day. Growing up as the tom boy on the basketball court or black top at recess just begging for the boys to let me play with them has made me appreciate this day even more- not only from a professional side but from the side of a little girl who just wants to play football at recess (I just loved all things sports- huge thanks to my dad for that:)) Luckily for the little girl who wasn’t scared to wait on the sideline until it was “her turn” to play basketball with the boys at recess, she has an amazing group of family and friends behind her that never doubted her for a second.
