March On Celebrates Civil Rights Trailblazers 🤎 Charles Person, one of the original Freedom Riders, showed immense courage in the face of violence as he challenged segregation on buses in the South. In 1961, along with other young activists, he risked his life to confront racial injustice and demand equal rights for all. His bravery and determination were instrumental in breaking down the barriers of segregation in public transportation. Charles Person’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact young activists had in driving social change during the Civil Rights Movement.
