“The party we’re going to is celebrating the Superb Owl, who is the greatest owl of all time.” -Nadja of Antipaxos (What We Do in the Shadows) Owls are highly territorial and often live in the same area for many years. They are usually solitary creatures; however, some of them roost in pairs, share the rent, participate in documentaries, and occasionally accept an invite to a neighbor’s highly exclusive event. If inviting owls to celebrate the arrival of the “Superb Owl,” always be a good host. Don’t worry if your TV isn’t huge. Owls have amazing depth perception due to their large, fixed eyes. They also have binocular vision, which allows them to focus on an object with both eyes at once. Please be careful. Although their eyes have laser focus, they may inadvertently overhypnotize you, leading to “brain scramblies.” Good luck. 🦉🦇 Image: Three owlets sitting vertically above one another waiting for their party invite at Yellowstone National Park.
