A group of UNLV students is pushing to bring the Up & Up Festival to Las Vegas for the first time, putting their school in the national spotlight. The festival, sponsored by Monster Energy, is a student-driven competition where colleges compete by selling pre-sale tickets. The top five schools win the chance to host a live performance from a major EDM artist. This year, schools in the main competition will host Sidepiece, but UNLV is in a mystery headliner bracket, meaning the featured artist won’t be revealed until after the contest. The competition kicks off on February 24 at 1:00 PM, with ticket pre-sales determining the winners. Tickets are $34 with no fees. The event is open to anyone 18+, so it’s not just a campus affair. Locals can get in on the action too. To support the effort, follow upandupvegas on Instagram.
