Doctor Marvin Dawkins 🙌 Dr. Marvin Dawkins was appointed as Miami’s Faculty Athletic Rep in 2012, and for the past 12 years has been a consistent advocate and mentor for Miami student-athletes, while serving as an impactful professor and change agent. In addition to his role as FAR, Dr. Dawkins is a distinguished sociology professor within the College of Arts and Sciences promoting and encouraging racial equity and social justice through education and partnerships.   Dr. Dawkins has provided leadership and a voice for our campus community for over 35 years, as a leader in racial and social justice policies, practices and institutional attitudes.
