A FRESH ROTATION: The JV Knights boys basketball team played the Navarro Vikings Friday night. Although the team started slowly with a pedestrian first quarter, the team gradually built a lead over the course of the game, ultimately winning 55-21. While it was a JV game, the Knight roster featured several freshman team players who suited up for the JV game. Freshman Vance Reining, one of the freshman team regulars who played in the JV game, said that the team did not play its best in the first half. “Even though we were up by 20, we still felt we could’ve played better,” Reinig said “We were fouling too much and didn’t play super great defense.” Sophomore Ben Cook agreed. “Throughout the game I felt good; however, I feel that we probably could’ve played better,” Cook said. “We fouled a lot and that led to free throws for the other team.” The Knights pulled away in the second half thanks to some halftime adjustments.
