The Score is the second and final studio album by the
#Fugees, released globally on February 13, 1996, via Columbia Records.
A massive commercial success, The Score debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and dominated the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for eight weeks, the longest reign for a hip-hop group at the time.
Critically acclaimed, the album earned a nomination for Album of the Year at the 39th Grammy Awards, making it only the second rap album ever nominated in the category and the first by a hip-hop group. It went on to win Best Rap Album, solidifying its legacy.
As of February 2021, The Score has been certified 7× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), cementing its status as one of the most influential hip-hop albums ever.
