Marco Nuñez has committed to play baseball for Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. He was recruited as a catcher and first baseman for the Lynx, who compete in the Southern Athletic Association. Marco has been a starter on the Varsity team all four of his years at Riverwood, and helped lead the team to a state playoff spot in 2022. He has been selected as an All-Region player for the past three years, including receiving first-team honors in his junior season and earning Riverwood’s Silver Slugger award. Marco serves as a team captain and is a leader for the younger catchers in the program. He is proud of the 74 hits he’s amassed during his Raider career and is hoping to get to 100 this season. Marco was also a recipient of a Latino Athletic MVP Scholarship through the Atlanta Braves Organization after a multi-step process, including an academic review, recommendations, essays, skill observation, and more.
